A Stylish Way To Stay Warm: Check Out The "Lace Stitch Turtleneck Sweater"

Style Notes |  A sweater's just a sweater, right? Wrong. Featured today, is a totally stylish lace stitch turtleneck sweater; the stitching (and its placement) definitely gives a basic black sweater an instant upgrade.

The sweater is designed by EDUN, a Fashion Clothing Collection launched (in 2005) by Ali Hewson and Bono. What is EDUN? Check out the back story...

Victoria Beckham's Royal Wedding Look

Quick Blurb! Like some, I wasn't crazy about the Royal Wedding at all. Matter of fact, I could care less  ... until three days ago when I started to feel really excited about it!

Honestly, there's something absolutely whimsical about a Royal Weddingand today's celebration brought me back to my childhood. I was your typical little girl who dreamed of being a princess. I sat at my mum's vanity doing facials, and loved to wear big fancy dresses while drinking tea with my pinkie upI'm still that girl! Minus the 'royal' money.

Anyways, I didn't wake up at the butt-crack before dawn. But when I did awake at about 6:30 A.M. I couldn't help but to be bright-eyed when I saw what Victoria Beckham was wearing. This woman is always winning in the personal style department.

The mommy-to-be wore a navy sheath dress from her own Fall 2011 RTW Collection, killer Christian Louboutin heels, and a stylish topper created by milliner Philip Treacy.

Beyoncé Wears Two-Toned TurtleNeck Dress By Marc Jacobs - Is It Really A Miss?

Style Notes | Beyoncé was recently spotted in Paris on Easter Sunday wearing a two-tone turtleneck dress from Marc Jacob's Fall 2011 RTW Collectionand she is unfortunately getting negative 'style choice' reviews. In fact, according to a StyleWatch people poll, 76% said the look is a miss. But is it really?

My Thoughts: This photo did not capture the best facial expression. But who doesn't have a blahzay picture buried somewhere in the basement? I bet we all have a few.

In regards to the dress though, I can't say that I hate it. The two-tone color does not bother me; and the polka dots do not bother me. But I chuckled when I read the following comment: WHY is she wearing a FALL outfit in the spring? That's a good question, because [it is] a bit dark for a spring day.

Other commentators felt as though 'B' wasn't wearing the outfitthat the outfit was wearing herand that Rihanna would have rocked it better. hmm interesting point.

Again, I don't hate the dress. I like the overall concept. And not particularly concerned with the season in which she wore it in, or that her face is ... eh.

What do you think about Miss Thang's Easter Sunday dress? Hit me up on Twitter (@nikkistyle) to share your thoughts ... don't go unheard!

3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection: the nikkistyle review!

Style Notes | "It's about these chic women who ride bikes to work, to brunch, to a cocktail party," Lim said backstage before the show.” [Source] That's funny. I am so not a ride a bike to work kind of girl. But I do like some of the themes seen within Phillip Lim’s Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear collection, presented during New York Fashion Week:

Green is a color that adds a playful pop of sophistication to an outfit. So seeing different shades and fabric textures of the color made me excited. And while I don’t own a ton of green piecesthe pieces I do ownare among the best in my wardrobe. Seriously, green has the ability to wake up a dull outfit instantly!

Leather Sleeves is the second theme that left me gasping for air. Because I love leather! But sometimes it's difficult to find pieces that are not overly dramatic, like for the office. That is until I saw Phillip Lim's perfect balance of comfortable fabric and leather. Superb! These looks are so my style!

Final notes: I still won't be riding my bike to work, brunch or a cocktail party in any of these looks. However! I will arch my arm on the car steering wheel in efforts to show off my leather Phillip Lim sleeves.
