Denim Tutu! My thoughts have been fixated on denim; last week I blogged about the denim {-on-denim} trend -- even posted a few denim pieces that are suitable for the workplace. In any event, I came across an article: Urban Outfitters May Have Gone Too Far With A Denim Tutu. Um, excuse me? As if! I think the featured denim tutu is wicked cute and immediately pictured it on a little girl, or maybe Madonna...back in the day. It's fun!

"Urban may have finally crossed the line by selling a denim jumper-cum-tutu in its stores."

::CIA Activity:: Regarding the "ripping off indie designers" comment, I did some digging and discovered that the 'denim tutu' is not anything we haven't seen before; it's been done already. Reference: Exhibit A (Hm...but you ain't heard nothin' from me.)

A Chic Approach To Baking! I am not much of a Betty Crocker kind of a gal. And not because I don't want to be. I work full-time, so by the end of the day I am straight-up beat and ready to go to bed. However, things may change; today I am featuring chic aprons that might encourage me to 'werk it' over the stove more often. And here's the crazy thing, these aprons are so super stylish that I would wear them out in public, like to a cocktail party! Is that weird? Tweet me.

Style Notes! British Vogue posted the above pic today with the following caption:

TODAY I'M WEARING an American Apparel Obama T-Shirt, a Kelly Wearstler top, a D&G skirt and Stuart Weitzman boots.

OK, cute outfit. But the statement on the t-shirt "Obama is the new black" is not sitting well with some folks. Honestly, I was taken aback when I first saw the shirt -- thinking to myself ... hm, well what does that mean exactly? (Brace yourselves, this is gonna get ugly.)

 Style Notes | Seriously. I have been obsessing over the featured sterling silver "Swear Rings" by Wendy Brandes all week! Style Notes | I'm not a die hard advocate for exploiting guns on handbags, or on any accessory for that matter. But these bags designed by Vlieger & Van Dam struck me as somewhat appealing. 

The single embedded gun-print raises the bar on a simple black clutch—to now—a bold statement piece in which the onlookers' perception is that girlfriend is not to be messed with. Bang! Bang!

Style Notes | These Tron-inspired Light Sandals are priced at $1,650.00, and will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue on February 1st.

My Personal Thoughts: 1 - This sandal is not cute. Truthfully, I've seen plenty sandals similar to this style, minus the rechargeable battery socket in the back of the wedge. 2 - Why in the HECK would I want-to draw that much attention to myself walking down the street, or while at a nightclub? 

Don't get me wrong, my intention is to always standout a little. However, this wedge right here ... is a bit over-the-top (even for me). So if I'm not working the night at some exotic glow-in-the-dark hot spot—never will I wear these. No offense.

These Don't Belong in a Shoe Museum, They Belong on My Feet!

Style Find! I spotted these side-zip beauties in the Shoe Museum alongside all types of unwearable, experimental, freaky-deeky shoes. 

However, this boot (above) is wearable-to-the-max. I would love them in brown, but I have sOoOo many brown boots; sky blue would add a cool splash of color to the wardrobe mix!
