Style Notes |  Only a few folks can easily wear those daring, and at times, dreadful trends and rock the hell out of 'em. Katie Holmes is definitely in that bunch! 

In the featured photo Katie makes wearing polka dot pants look so effortless ... and probably have some wondering whether or not they themselves can look just as fierce as she. I say, good luck trying! I've already seen some horrid attempts—ahem—January Jones.

TREND ALERT - Would You Wear This Trend? 'High-Waisted Jeans'

Style Notes | Would I personally try the "high-waisted jeans" trend? Short answer: yes. But I would proceed with extreme caution. This trend is difficult to pull off for most gals, including myself. The wrong high-waist fitting (i.e. too tight or too loose around the crotch area), coupled with the wrong belt, shirt, shoes or even hairstyle will make your high-waisted look ... look just odd. (*ahem* Jessica Simpson).
