Obsessed: Stretch-Crepe Blazer

Obsessed! I'm head over heels in love with blazers. Listen: I cannot stress how much I adore transitional pieces and a blazer is [just that]. I pair my blazers with jeans, skirts, shorts -- you name it. And every September I browse my closet in efforts to figure out which blazers need to be donated as well as which colors/style of blazer(s) I'll need for the {chilly} season. 

Featuring: Stretch-Crepe Blazer by Theory in grey, also avail in black. Grey blazers are perfect; they look super chic with just about any pant color. Wearing a grey blazer with denim is one of my favorite go-to 'Casual Friday' looks. Yes! Every fashionista should have one, or two, or ten blazers ;)

Brian Atwood's "Tie Me Up" Sandals

Shoe Crushin'! Today I spotted these sex kitten (ish) lace up sandals. But, I must admit, as I looked at the shoe by itself (right) I wasn't wholeheartedly loving them -- until I saw the "Tie Me Up" sandals on Brian Atwood's friend (above), which basically displays the perfect example of a creative personal styling approach.

Pairing the sandals with dark blue distressed skinnies was a fabulous idea (because I'm not sure if I would like the sandals as much -- if they were paired with a dress). Also, I like the rockstar mixture of neon green (heels) and purple nail polish! These simple touches made me realize that the animal print sandals ARE workable and far from "hideous." 

Warning: Animal Print can be tough to pull off; it can add some spice, or add tads of tacky.

Style Notes! I'm at a loss for words. The featured skirt (no entire outfit!) kicks, screams, and yells POW-ER-FUL. I want it. I adore the structured "businesswoman" look.

Mid-Week Obsession, KAYLA CLUTCH

Style Notes! O.M.G. Fashion Beauties! Look what I spotted via StyleWatch magazine's June issue (left) - a wicked cute color-block cross-body universal clutch. I highlighted in pink the URL case-mate.com as a reminder to get a closer look. And when I browsed on over to the source site, I fell deep in lust. YIKES!

Now, the gold chain strap is adjustable. You can simply remove it. Me? I love gold but I'd toss the chain, especially if I'm carrying the clutch/wallet to work; the gold + chain + neon is a bit loud.

Below is a slightly different color-combo from what StyleWatch featured. Lipstick Pink and Marine Blue is such a hot mixture of my fave colors! Love it? Shop it. (video, keep scrolling!)

Mid-Week Obsession! Sequin Top

Style Notes! There are so many reasons why I heart this shirt:

• it's loose-fitting
• it's a neutral color
• it's jazzy ... thanks to the shimmery sequin!
• it's affordable at $60 dollars
• it's an easy "day to evening" transitional piece
• it's on-trend: a high-gloss finishing
• it can be worn off-the-shoulder

But I'm  bummed. After searching the highs and lows for this beautiful top in efforts to buy—I was unsuccessful locating the shirt—couldn't find it anywhere on express.com (information via InStyle). And so, I contacted InStyle for the style number.

Mid-Week Obsession! ORLA KIELY - Crepe Romper Dress

Style Notes | I've been browsing for something sweet to wear on Valentine's Day, and look at what cupid brought before my eyes—the Crepe Romper Dress in red, which consist of my three Cs: cute, classic and comfortable. (this might make the list!)

The detachable tie belt is adorable, and the bow is all types of Heaven. Shop the look. 

Postscript. Dresses by Orla Kiely are 100 percent nikkistyle. The various pieces have an old-fashioned charm that I absolutely love. Cheers ... to perfect girl-y dresses!

Mid-Week Obsession!Gianfranco Scotti - Classic Single-Button Blazer

Style Notes | It really goes without saying that a tailored blazer is a staple wardrobe item. Blazers are classic — and a super cool transitional piece. Don't believe me? Just browse editors' picks via various fashion mags and you'll see. Case in point: According to InStyle, a black blazer is among 10 Things Every Woman Should Own. 

I wholeheartedly agree with InStyle. But per my personal shopping experience, affordable (chic) blazers are hard to find. Yep. Example: The featured Single-Button Blazer by Gianfranco Scotti is pretty sharp, isn't it? And y'all probably would love to own one, wouldn't you? Go ahead and knock yourselves out; it's $1,495.00.

Style Notes | Oh you fancy, huh? Check out this dynamite show-stopping piece by Dolce & Gabbana. Introducing: The jewel and pearl-embellished clutch via Net-A-Porter. My gosh, the craftsmanship is to-die ... I am literally in awe. But do you want to know how much? [giggles] $6,895. And that's why it's just—an obsession!

 Style Notes | Seriously. I have been obsessing over the featured sterling silver "Swear Rings" by Wendy Brandes all week! This look is not exactly appropriate for the workplace, but imagine if  an angry woman slammed her hand on the boardroom table while wearing these rings? (OMG ... and LOLZ) Go peep the look! ($380)

Style Notes | New Arrival at Net-A-Porter: Leather Wedge Ankle Boots by Jil Sander ($1,395). I swear it ... if money were no object I would scoop 'em without hesitation. And, I would mix-and-match so many different looks with these bad boy booties—wearing with skinny jeans, leggings, or even a maxi. The detailing, specifically the cut-out wedged heel coupled with the brass definitely grabs my attention. 

Bring on the wedged-boot ... so nikkistyle!
