Trend Alert! I know, you probably packed away your short cut-offs due to the crisp winter air settling in. However, you do have all season long to rock the denim trend, specifically, the denim-on-denim trend. So, the trick to wearing the trendy denim-on-denim is to simply mix your washes and weights — the inevitable mash-up style. And yes, while wearing denim to work is typically a 'no no' (excluding casual Fridays), at some companies you might get away with wearing, perhaps, darker denim pieces. But make sure your choices are professional and clean (a step up from casual).

Weekend Shopping: A Ton of Tees

Style Notes! I think spring is finally here to stay. And so, today I went to the mall to buy tons of V-Neck T-Shirts ("Tees") -- some solid colors (black, grey, green); some graphic.

Get a simple staple tee—and pull together an effortlessly cool and relaxed outfit. Some days I just want to kick it (shop, go to a game) in comfortable clothing: I typically pair my tees with preppy boat shoes, and with one of the many cute skirts in my closet! xx :-) ns

Style Notes | It really goes without saying that a tailored blazer is a staple wardrobe item. Blazers are classic — and a super cool transitional piece. Don't believe me? Just browse editors' picks via various fashion mags and you'll see. Case in point: According to InStyle, a black blazer is among 10 Things Every Woman Should Own. 

I wholeheartedly agree with InStyle. But per my personal shopping experience, affordable (chic) blazers are hard to find. Yep.
