Style Moment: Think VINTAGE

Noteworthy! I'm having a "style moment," so stop what you’re doing and have a look with me, will ya? OK, so. I adore this vintage LBD via Vintage Fashion Expo. And I just know the dress would look flattering on most women, especially the bust area *ahem* The look is giving soOo much neck, which is flattering! The over-sized pockets are a plus as well.

I want, please.

A "Wear It With" Tip: wear w /  chunky platform wedges! ;) #nikkistyle

P.S. oh, and did ya hear?

Featuring -- this 50s Vintage Dress!

Style Notes | This past Saturday I went vintage shopping and ended up browsing the racks at a couple stores. I spotted a few cute things that were visually appealingand even bought two item, which I will share with you later this week.

Anyways, while I did not buy the featured 50s vintage dress, it did speak to me ... as I can totally see the look on some of my stylish readers and Twitter pals. From the pleats, to the print, to the length, to beltit's an interesting piece. Though I admit, I am not particularly thrilled about the dark green (too much of it!)

Spring Trend: Retro Jumpsuits Are Back Again, Paying Homage to the 1970s!

Featured Item, $38.50

Style Notes | I vividly remember an old photo of my mom wearing a baby blue silk jumpsuit back in the '70s. And I kid you not ... she looked super fly! Today, nearly four decades later, the 'retro' jumpsuit re-emerges yet again for spring.

Editor's Pick: The featured strapless feather print jumpsuit is affordable, and is certainly on-trend this season. psst! And check this out: The piece is transitional. Style it for day, or evening! Give it a try, shop the look at AX Paris USA.

Inspiration. Madonna - 1983

Style Notes | Earlier today I had to begin writing a piece for another project I am working on, but wasn't feeling inspireda thought didn't cross my mind.

That's until I came across this old Polaroid of Madonna
from the 1980s. CRAZY. MAJOR. Suddenly I am inspired (x) times one hundred. Need I say more?

My Obsession Is...

Style Notes | You guessed it: Vintage. Lately I've been invited to a number of vintage boutiquesand I must say that there is something completely exciting about combing through the racks of dresses from the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s—dresses that I would actually wear, today. The experience was amazing every visit, as I was able to somewhat embody the persona of stylishly chic women from decades ago. So stay tuned ... I'll be highlighting more vintage items in the near future.

The Muse: A Comic Book?

Style Find! I am at a loss for words. I've seen some pretty outlandish fashion, but never seen anything quite like this. (I wonder what inspired such a design?)

The Spanish Comic-Book Platform is super creative. But would I wear it...? Like outside in public...? Probably not. Anyways, in lieu of Sunday morning funnies, want to hear something really comical? The featured shoe is selling at a high price of $750.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

Busy Belted Jacket

Style Find! Check out this awesome Vintage Belt-Assembled Jacket, courtesy of Belgian fashion designer, Martin Margiela.

Very interesting jacket.

Hm. Since the piece is already busy with straps, belts and buckles, it’s comforting that the multi-colors consist of warm earthy tones rather than bright blinding colors. I'd wear it!
